We could tell some stories. My favorite was the shortstop who couldn't decide whether to throw to 3rd or 1st. I was field umpire and couldn't commit until he did. Once he did finally throw to first, the coach argued I was out of position. I told him if I umpired as poorly as he coached, I'd quit.
